Summer is over. It may be a fact that we are all doing our very best to avoid but the facts are the facts – autumn is officially THE season we are now enjoying and with its arrival marks the beginning of a new period of potential car breakdown issues.
So why does the world of motoring begin to change as the leaves start falling from the trees? Well, for that very reason actually. Those pesky leaves (and the colder temperatures) are to blame you see.
When wet or in piles they present hazards that are unique to the season. A few leaves can create a surface as slippery as ice to drive on and yet because we are unaware of the issues we will be driving tat little bit faster when we hit it – creating the need for car breakdown cover rescue (and possibly worse).
This means it is important to check your tyres, wipers and brakes at this time of year to ensure everything is working at optimal levels.
It can also be wise to check your car breakdown cover as the colder weather after a period of higher temperatures can expose any underlying issues. And the last thing you want is to be caught exposed without any breakdown help at your beckoned call.
The best idea can be to use this month as the ideal time to get your car serviced once again as this will ensure that everything is in full working order and those pesky leaves will not be an issue as we move into winter, and all the extra car driving complications that that brings!
