European Driving Holidays are Back!

by SimonPenson 11. March 2010 12:33

After a year of staying at home UK motorists are desperate to get back on the open road again and are planning European road trips.

Around 35.6 million people from the UK are planning to go abroad again after a year of keeping the finances in check with European driving holidays right up there on the list.

Despite this, however, relatively few motorists have yet to think about European breakdown cover for that trip.

The cold snap and last year’s break from the normal holiday activities has led Britain to book hols in greater numbers than ever yet holidaymakers are not going too far afield, with over 60 per cent of Brits holidaying in Europe this year, making it the number one destination for 2010, followed by America (12 per cent), Africa (5 per cent) and Asia (4 per cent).

Most concerning for Rescue My Car is the fact that thousands of motorists will take the risk driving each month throughout the summer period without European breakdown cover.

And with estimates that around 1 in 10 will suffer some kind of accident or breakdown during their holiday it is a choice that could end up costing a serious amount of money.

Our team has years of experience in advising our customers about cover for such trips and with packages that start from just £32.50 for a short four day holiday in Europe, including English speaking assistance and car hire to let you continue with your trip it is a small outlay.

Call Rescue My Car now on 0800 0199519 for help with your European breakdown cover and we will do all we can to ensure you don’t end up thousands of pounds out of pocket
