Motorists face unreasonably high prices at service stations

by Rescuemycar 21. December 2011 09:14

According to research by the Institute of Advanced Motorists, the price of some food items at UK service stations are up to fifty per cent more expensive than they are on the high street.

Not only are drivers faced with an expensive food mark up, they're also faced with a premium of up to ten per cent a litre for fuel at the forecourt.

The Institute’s chief executive, Simon Best, is worried about drivers who may avoid paying for essential items they may need whilst on the move due to the rip-off prices.

"Our advice for tired motorists is always to take your rest break and have a coffee to help you freshen up," advises Simon Best.
